Looking forward to working with my friends at Zero! Here’s the latest news from Tim Eckersley to Allegion customers…
Announcement
I am pleased to announce that Allegion has agreed to acquire Zero International, a leading industry supplier of premium sealing systems. Zero International, located in the Bronx, NY, is a 90 year old company whose products are category leaders in sound control, fire and smoke protection, and threshold applications. Their products are well known for quality and innovation.
With this acquisition, Allegion expands its presence in the door and hardware accessories market. The Zero International product lines will be incorporated into the Allegion accessories category, with the Glynn Johnson & Ives brands, while retaining their unique brand identity. The Zero International management team will remain and our sales management teams will work to determine the best way to get products to you. Together, we will continue to focus on providing best-in-class service to Zero’s customer network while expanding its presence throughout Allegion’s footprint around the world.
Zero International’s products are in categories that you have been requesting we supply, and this acquisition further enhances our growing accessories product line offering. This acquisition delivers on our commitment to our customers to offer a broader range of solutions for both new construction and aftermarket projects and reinforces our intent to grow in strategic markets via selective mergers and acquisitions.
Please join me in welcoming the team at Zero International into the Allegion family. We are excited about the opportunities that this acquisition presents to our customers as well as the employees of both companies.
Best Regards,
Timothy P. Eckersley

That’s excellent! They have great products. If Allegion can bring their prices down a little to make them a little more competitive it will be good all around.
Does this mean that we will be able to submit Zero quotes with our Allegion quotes to our sales reps? Or would they still be semi separate?
I think you’ll be able to submit Zero quote requests through the local SSC once we get rolling, but check with your sales rep.
I just found out that quote requests should continue to go to Zero.
All Zero quote requests should go directly to Zero , contact information can be found at Zero’s website.
OK – good to know!
Zero quotes to be submitted directly to Zero not local SSC’s
