I’ve been receiving messages asking if iDigHardware is down because there was no post from yesterday. It’s not the website that’s broken – it’s me. I had an emergency appendectomy and I’m out until I finish recovering. I’ll be ok – it just takes time.
If you need help, please contact your local ACE (Allegion Code Expert) as usual – click the orange ball in the right sidebar to see the list. And if you miss seeing my daily posts, you can scroll through years of Wordless Wednesday, Fixed-it Friday, or Quick Question posts, or read up on recent changes in my past Decoded articles.
All is well (or will be). Thank you so much for asking.

Lori,
Hope you’re feeling better soon!!
God bless you Lori! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
We think of appendicitis as a teenage time problem, but it hit all ages. My wife had discomfort and a slight fever that got her into the emergency department (as we in healthcare are fond of saying “It is more than a room”!) After taking x-rays, she was sent home to see if anything further developed. At 5 a.m., doubled up with abdominal pain we went in again. The clinicians conducted a discussion in our presence and were not all in agreement. The radiologist entered and announced, “she has appendicitis” and called everyone’s attention to the x-ray pointing out it was rupturing as we spoke. I was in agreement. She got it out in the nick of time, but these things can be rather nonspecific at times and since we are nor like a car to open up for a further looksee. She did fine and was back to daily activities in a day or so. I know this is off topic considerably, but I thought you might enjoy the story of another victim as you recover. Blessings on your recovery.
I hope your recovery goes well. Hope you get well soon. We all mis your posts.
Take care
Take time
Get better.
Hope you were not checking the OR doors?
Hi Lori, sorry to hear that. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Hi Lori! Rest and get well soon, but don’t worry about us readers. I know I could spend an easy hour a day for the next two months reviewing indexed content on topics that are useful to me and still have more to read. I’m sure it’s that way for most readers.
Best wishes for a speedy and easy recovery
Lori,
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery!
Take care of yourself…
