I had a great time at the New York DHI Chapter meeting tonight! I was so impressed with the attendance, the food, and the engagement at their chapter meeting, and they are very excited about the upcoming DHI conference in NYC in October. Public speaking isn’t my favorite thing to do, but they were a fabulous audience for my presentation on social media and professional networking, which made it easy for me.
They even found a door for me to take a picture of (with the lovely Ellen to give it some scale). This lever is mounted extremely low – below the required minimum for an accessible door, and I have no idea what the point is of having a pull handle along with the lever handle lockset.
Thank you New York chapter, and here’s a link to the NYC page I mentioned: idighardware.com/nyc/. I’d love any feedback or suggestions on the presentation, in case I present it again for another chapter.
Good luck in your social media efforts and let me know what I can do to help!

Looks like there is a “lite – lock” conflict, the 161 bore is too close to the edge of the lite and instead of using a wider stile they dropped the lock prep.
Door pull is required so you can operate the lever with your foot, pull the door, and still hang on to your coffee.
