Definitely should have been a 48″ Detex. At least the loop and associated hardware look correctly installed. Although, it appears to be a replacement frame (EMA anchors are barely visible), so presumably a power transfer hinge could have been used. No conduit, no loopzilla.

It’s a problem of their own creation. Why is there a 36″ exit device installed on a 48″ door.
Yes, totally fine.
(But I’d rather the pushbar covered more of the door width).
I think the bigger issue is the TouchPad being less than 1/2 the width of the door

Push bar is a little short for the door leafs also…….2/3 of the width.
Must be a great home improvement store……

Looks like the Detex supplied FCA option with 3 feet of flexible conduit included. Can be cut to fit in the field, but looks like they used the whole piece. That wide door probably should have had a 4 foot bar as well, which would have shortened the length of the transfer. If you get the JB1 option, it comes with 9 1/2 feet of flex and a 4X4 junction box! Not the most finished looking installation, but manufacturer supplied product. The end at the jamb has already pulled out and separated! Designed by electrician not hardware specialist

NO! it’s already failing, it’s just a matter of time until the metal sheathing cuts into the wires.
