When I was writing yesterday’s post about hardware finish/contrast, I included a short paragraph from the 2024 edition of the International Building Code (IBC). When I went to the 2024 code to look for the section that requires egress doors to be readily distinguishable, I noticed something new:
In each section of the code where changes occurred, there is a QR code that you can scan with your phone. This takes you to a copy of the code on the ICC website, that shows all of the changes made between the 2021 and 2024 editions. You can quickly scroll through and see what’s new, including the revised sections on flush bolts and surface bolts, stairwell reentry release methods, and electrified locks on elevator lobby doors.

Wow
One of the better improvements in 23 years!!!
I see they have also gone to monthly and annual , etc subscription plans.
I still would prefer a paperback,,, if I was still working.
