I’d be surprised if I could go into a hotel and NOT find an egress, accessibility, or fire door problem, but this one had several.
It’s not uncommon to see curtains obscuring an egress door, but the typical answer is that the curtains are open when the room is occupied. I’m not even sure it’s possible to leave these ornate drapes in the open position:
In a smoky situation, I think it would be tough to see what was preventing this door from opening:
This one doesn’t look too problematic at first glance, but the surface bolt on the bottom of the inactive leaf could be an issue:
And the bigger problem is that the hook bolt activated by the key cylinder on the outside, has nothing to release it for egress from the inside. Wordless!

Top picture,, besides the trip hazard,,, the curtains are more than likely not fire retardant.
