While I was looking through the photos from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico that I posted on Wednesday, I came across these openings that are like a Mexican version of a Dutch door.  Technically they are probably wicket doors, but those typically allow someone to walk through without opening the larger door.  The doors in these photos serve the same purpose as a Dutch door – to allow fresh air and light inside while keeping animals, children, people in general outside.  I definitely need a Mexican Dutch Door in my house.
