I have been working on a long-overdue project in my house…organizing boxes and boxes of old papers, baby keepsakes, school artwork, and just about anything else you can imagine. In one of the boxes I found an amazing original advertisement for Von Duprin, and coincidentally today I am on my way to the home of Von Duprin – Indianapolis – so I’m posting this here for you all to enjoy.
If you want to learn more about the history of Von Duprin panic hardware, check out the posts below or visit VonDuprin.com.
Luckily we have lots of great “hardware women” now too!

I was just working in a older rural school that dates back to the 1930’s
I took some pictures of the “original” exit devices that were still in use, although they need some TLC, which I’m sure will never happen. There not Von Duprin, I think there Corbin – Russwin ??
Yes, it was a job to change out existing class room lockset, mostly mortice, to interior latching for a lockdown situation.
Let me know how I can get the 3 pictures to you (email?)
