Kristi Dietz of LaForce sent me today’s Fixed-it Friday photo, taken in a convenience store.
When asked to look at this door due to water intrusion, a LaForce employee mentioned the code issues and was told that the door had not been cited for any egress violations.

Can a door swinging “in” be labeled an Exit in a commercial setting?

Yes, an inswinging door is allowed in a means of egress serving most types of occupancies as long as the calculated occupant load is less than 50 people.

Not our thing, but how about the bleach being shelved above the food and drink items…
Water intrusion and fruit juice intrusion…
so, following the law only matters if you are cited?
Gotta love the bleach bottles above foodstuffs.
And, it does look like a lot of water intruded on the floor in that area.
