I have added a new link to the Codes page (see Code Links menu^), where you can find information about code adoption as well as links for free access to some of the codes and standards that we refer to regularly. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) tracks building codes adopted in approximately 22,000 jurisdictions across the U.S. FEMA’s Building Code Adoption Tracking (BCAT) evaluates code adoption and natural hazard risks, including factors such as flood, wind, and seismic provisions of the adopted codes.
iDigHardware’s Codes page also includes links to code adoption information from the International Code Council (ICC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), UpCodes, and ConstructConnect. If you know of a good resource to add to this page, leave a comment!
Thanks to John Woestman of BHMA for the tip about FEMA’s National Building Code Portal!
