Yesterday afternoon I was chatting with a customer about some of the supply chain issues that are currently being experienced across all industries. He asked where Allegion’s products are manufactured, and I told him that we had at least a dozen manufacturing locations in the US. Coincidentally, a video spotlighting our plants was just created for Manufacturing Day – an annual series of events that helps to promote modern manufacturing careers. During the Manufacturing Day events, thousands of companies and educational institutions around the US open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders, to help fill 4 million high-skill, high-tech and high-paying jobs over the next decade.
I always love visiting our plants, but for now, most of the visits are virtual. The video below gives a quick introduction to each of our US facilities, and there are more in-depth Manufacturing Day videos on our Allegion YouTube channel. If you know of anyone considering a manufacturing job, or a school or other organization that might be interested in sharing the videos, feel free to pass them along.
