Last week I had a dentist appointment in a medical office building next to our local hospital. My husband recently figured out that there’s a secret back parking lot, and a side door that leads right to it. As I opened the door (inward, I might add), I noticed that it was a little wobbly. And if the pivot repair isn’t scary enough, there are two sets of “eyes” to accept the padlocks that I’m sure they install every night. #wordless

What fun would it be for you to walk through a 100% proper working door? Every door I see becomes a where is Waldo game. How fast can you find the mistake because just like Waldo you know it is somewhere on that opening LOL
And useless hardware name for useless hardware trivia night… The padlock eyes are called staples..
STAPLES! Good to know! 🙂

Wow. It looks like the padlock ‘eyes’ were screwed into the aluminum frame, then the screws were welded to the ‘eyes’ bracket so they couldn’t be removed. (if you look closely at the bottom left weld, you can make out a faint phillips screw head.
That entire setup is a mess.
I hope the dentist and the welder aren’t the same person.
