Joe Fazio of Precision Doors & Hardware sent me today’s Wordless Wednesday photo. I don’t know what to say. How about you? Yes – this is an egress door with an exit sign.

Did the signs on the bottom fall off?
Seems like they want a sign on every area of the door?
Local alarm – check
Delayed egress mag lock – check
Dummy bar with RX – check
Key switch to activate delayed egress – check
Knob set for positive latching – check
Signage – check
Code compliance – missed
Thank you cda…you made me laugh. I’m thinking maybe they put the signs that were suppose to go on the bottom on the wrong side of the door…and the delay in egress is the amount of time it will take to read the signs.
***cringe*** on another note maybe they could have replaced the baseboard if they didn’t go over budget on signage.
Obviously the exit touch bar has no alarm or not connected to one, hence the PG 30 exit alarm complete with it’s own lock ? At least it looks as though it has a bolt or latch mechanism. Hard to tell in the photo . Hopefully there is a closer on the other side of the door to make all this security worth while.
