The two comments on the original article are so sad. Those two would probably be enraged themselves if loved ones perished because the door was blocked…
I’ve had similar situations with people like those two commenters. I often compare emergency exits to seat belts. Chances are you’ll never use them but you better hope they work in an emergency!
Plus there is a deadbolt on the door!
I frequent a memory care facility where one of the exits is blocked by a piano, likely to keep residents from wandering out.
