Earlier this week with the 8th anniversary of 9/11 approaching, I wondered what was happening at Ground Zero.  I checked in with the Metro-NY office of Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, and learned that their specification department had written the hardware specs for the four new World Trade Center towers, and the retail space that connects the entire project.  Ingersoll Rand Integration is involved with the security and access control as well.

Construction is underway on One World Trade Center (formerly known as the Freedom Tower), the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, and the National September 11 Memorial Museum.  The World Trade Center Memorial Plaza will be open today for the first time to families who lost loved ones in the attacks.  The websites below have a wealth of information about the progress of the construction projects, the plans for the Memorial & Museum, and the events of 9/11.
