We’re on our way home today, and barring any surprises we’ll arrive tomorrow. For the first time we’re hitting the road without knowing where we’ll be sleeping tonight, but I’m sure we’ll find a hotel and if not, I’ll be calling my Mid-Atlantic or Metro New York SSC buddies to see who has room at the inn.
When Chip found out we were passing through Delaware, he wanted to stop and see his siblings who were installed as a test site at Salesianum High School in Wilmington, Delaware. This is a high school for 1,000 boys, so the devices are definitely getting a workout and the school is happy with them. Since we’re passing through on a Sunday I don’t think we’ll be able to stop for a visit, but Steve Hornyak (Mid-Atlantic SSC Manager) sent me the photo below and reported that the devices were installed last winter and are performing very well. He also mentioned that he installed some of the devices, which is proof positive of the ease of installation. 😉
All kidding aside, the engineers for the Falcon 24/25 devices included installers in their research, and the feedback resulted in the plastic template that is included with each device. I hope to have the chance to help install Chip on a facility close to home so I can check on him periodically. If you would like to provide a permanent home for Chip, please leave a comment or send me an email.
