Last week I spent some time doing training in an office building, where I noticed these doors in the corridor leading to the office suites.
Does anyone see a code issue here? WWYD?

What is approach clearance for 200
I take rated doors
Top office door appears to have electric strike
Not sure why the stair door opens in??? Maybe only accesses roof????
Plus if office door is required exit,, stair door blocks egress, when opened.
No fire sprinklers??? Older building??
Wonder on top picture,,, door bumper appears useless, to far away

Approach clearances! Oy.
approach side clearance
Door adjacent glass is wired which is no longer allowed. Glass should be tempered based on door and floor proximity, and fire rated glass if that is a fire wall.
Hi Craig –
I’ve got a good post about wired glass coming…from another door that I saw on my trip! 🙂

Reminds me of your angled door exhibit, this one is not even close though.

Wow! How did you remember that?? There are some similarities, but in the more recent post, the doors at least open to 90 degrees. 🙂
