The alarmed doors exiting he Acute Care for the Elderly unit are painted with murals for a more aesthetically pleasing look. It also has a side benefit of masking the doors making it less likely patients with dementia to exit them. ACE is a general medical unit uses a team approach with geriatricians to manage care in elderly patients who may have be hospitalized for only one of their health issues.
