This website is sort of like my 4th child – a 7-year-old that is surpassing all of my expectations (no pressure for my other 3 kids! 🙂 ). Every day I marvel at the number of people who use the site to help them work more efficiently, finding answers to code questions that are tough to get anywhere else. When someone can’t find the answer on iDigHardware, they email, call, or text me to get individual help, and I often turn these questions and answers into new blog posts. Considering the number of new questions that arise and the code changes that occur every 3 years or so, it seems like I’ll never run out of material.
I take a look at my stats daily, to make sure I’m still writing about what you want to read about. With a resource like this, it’s hard to put a number on success or to calculate the ROI, but it’s exciting to see the increase in the quantity of visits (always double-digit growth!), which countries visitors are accessing the site from (217!*), and how much time people are spending on the site (more than 1,100 hours last month!).
When I reviewed the year-end stats for 2015, I noticed that iDigHardware was approaching some important lifetime milestones, and I’m extremely excited to report that all of the following milestones have now been surpassed!
>2,000,000 pageviews
>1,000,000 visits
>500,000 visitors
>10,000 comments
>2,250 subscribers
>1,500 published posts

Thank you for the time you put in and the amount of research you do.
Plus answering questions quickly!!
That’s awesome! We thank YOU for the valuable information you provide. And the laughs we get form the pictures!
Lori,
There should be endless thanks to you for your keen insight and continual interpretation of hardware and all relative codes. If you are ever in Lewisberry PA (before I retire) I’ll buy lunch!
Congrats! You do a great job!
Thank you for all you do to help us and the industry.
Congratulations Lori! It’s hard to believe it was 1989 (about 27 years ago!!!) when you showed up in my AH2 class in Savannah! And, I still vividly remember you beating us to death that week with a zillion “Lori-type” questions! Also, I don’t remember for certain but I think you received the best student award that week. If not, you should have! It was obvious even way back then that if you stuck with it, you were going to go a long way in the D&H industry and would have a positive impact on it – – which is exactly what you’ve done. Please know that we are all very proud of you and glad to have had small part in your career. You go girl!
That’s a nice way of saying I was an annoying student! 🙂
XOXO

Great job Lori , Your amazing
Jutzi does have a way with words. I second his comments as well.
I’m sure I had mellowed out by the time I got to AH4. I think I was 21 or 22 when I met Bob. I had matured to 27ish when I went to AH4. 🙂

Lori: What you provide to the industry indispensable. I have called you numerous times for direction with complicated hardware code issues and you have always been available to assist. I always look forward to your Decoded Articles in The Door and Hardware magazine. I, and apparently many of those in the industry, truly appreciate what you bring to our Table. We as an industry are truly privileged to have you as a resource. I hope Allegion reads these comments !! Thanks again for everything!!
