    Why oh why… Who do I have to talk to around here to get this information correct? Again the article on the top 10 deficiencies is posted including the misinformation about flush bolts not penetrating the strike 1/2″. This is not a requirement. There’s no code stating this. It was wrong information when DHI put it out then, and it’s wrong now. The code only requires that the doors latch. Is DHI still teaching this in their FDAI training classes? If so, someone needs to stop them. They’re misinforming people and creating unreal expectations.
