Puertas de Los Milagros

Category: Beautiful Doors,Locks & KeysLori @ 2:41 pm Comments (3)

Maybe this will be the start of a new series – ¡Puertas Mexicanas!  There are some amazing doors in Mexico, and especially in San Miguel de Allende.  These doors are on a house a couple of blocks from ours.  They are covered with milagros, which are charms used for protection and good luck, as part of a prayer for something signified by the milagro, or as a sign of gratitude if the prayer is granted.  The literal meaning of the word milagro is miracle…the first time we went to buy vegetables from our vegetable lady, Rubina, after a 2-year absence, she looked at us and said “¡Que Milagro!”  😀

And check out what I found on our neighbor’s door!  It looks like the security gate / screen door was custom-made or modified for the Schlage deadbolt, and there’s another one on the wood door behind it.

You have to love the ornate details of these doors.
p.s. I just installed the Schlage deadbolt on my new front door and love it!

I have one on my house in Massachusetts and I love it too! Half the neighborhood kids know the code so I probably should have changed it for the renter! 🙂

My option is the Schlage BE 365 is one of best products .
