As many of you know, I was away last week to do some specwriter training.  While I thoroughly enjoyed hanging with some of my peeps for a few days (not to mention 12 hours in the car with 3 of them), my email really piled up.  I was so happy to find these photos in my emailbox, so I could put up a quick blog post.

These photos were sent in by Travis Willis of American Direct.  They depict a pair of doors with access control in the form of an electric strike and rim panic hardware.  The “custom” electrical junction box enclosure gets an A for creativity of execution from Travis and me, but it sure ain’t purty.

What would you recommend if a facility needed access control added to a pair of doors?  Panic hardware is required because it is an Assembly occupancy.
