The open back strike hadn’t been installed when I took this photo, but what else is missing? It’s a tricky one, but you can click on the picture to enlarge it if you need to.

If you think you know, add a comment by clicking this link and then scrolling down. I will hold all of the comments until Monday, July 20th, and then I’ll randomly select the winner from the correct answers. The winner will receive a fabulous gift from the IR prize vault.

Update:  I guess this one was harder than I thought!  I’ve attached a photo of the pull side of the same doors, and as you can see there are closers.  A coordinator isn’t required because of the open back strike.  The delayed egress exit devices and wire glass are acceptable according to the code that was in use when the doors were replaced.  The undercut might be a little more than the exit device template calls for, but the item I’m looking for is pretty good sized and completely missing.  If it was installed, as required by code, it would be very obvious.

Click on either photo to enlarge, but here’s a hint…with the information above and the original photo of the push side of the door, you don’t have to enlarge the photo to see that something’s missing.  Good luck!
